Consider giving monthly to provide communities in need with consistent and enduring solutions.
My name is Hussein, a 99-year-old man born and raised in the northern parts of Kenya to a nomadic family that moved in search of water and pasture for our animals. I spent my childhood herding and did not have the opportunity to obtain formal education. I was later initiated into young adulthood, where I was expected to protect the community and herd cattle.
I married three wives and built a great family. Our community depends on livestock for a living, but due to climate change, things have drastically changed. The recent prolonged drought wiped out all my livestock, and I am now left with nothing to depend on. With my advanced age, securing manual jobs has become almost impossible.
I am kindly appealing for your support so that I can access healthcare, improve my nutrition, and live a better life.
