My name is Gladys Namayiana,
I am a 14-year-old maasai girl born and raised in a very needy family. My parents depended on livestock as the main source of livelihood but the 2022-2023 drought wiped them all out leaving my family in total poverty. I stayed out of school for a while due to lack of school fees which exposed me to the risk of early marriage. My mother opted to take me to shelter children’s home since she could not afford to take care of my basic needs and Education. Despite these challenges, I have found joy and hope in attending school, where I excel in English and Music. I truly believe that education can turn my story around.
I am writing to appeal for your support in helping me pursue my educational goals. Any contribution, big or small, would make a profound impact on my life and that of my family.
