My name is Janet.

I was born into a large polygamous family. Unfortunately, my parents are illiterate and rely on their small herd of cattle, which can be unreliable, especially during droughts. My sisters were forced to drop out of school and marry at a young age. I was fortunate to be rescued from the threat of early marriage and taken to Shelter Children’s Home.

Despite these challenges, I have found joy and hope in attending school, where I excel in my studies. I truly believe that education has the power to change my life and offer a better future for my family.
