We urgently appeal for your help.
Dozens of families in Kajiado County, Kenya are facing starvation due to an ongoing drought. The situation is dire as many families have lost their primary source of income and food, which is their livestock. As a result, parents and the elderly in these communities are forced to sneak into nearby schools during lunch hour to get a meal. It's heart-wrenching to see them joining queues with students to tame their hunger pangs.
The men in these communities are hit the hardest as they traditionally own the livestock in the Maasai community. The number of men sneaking into schools for food is higher than that of women. We can no longer ignore the plight of these families.
That's why we're partnering with local schools and community-based organizations(CBOs) to set up community feeding programs to help these families survive through this drought. We are providing lunch to day scholars and anyone in need, including parents and the elderly. However, the school's food reserves are running low, and most parents are unable to pay school fees, which means the learning institution has also been hit hard by the drought.
We're appealing to you for urgent donations to support these feeding programs. Your donation will help us provide much-needed food to families facing starvation in Kajiado County. We urge you to join us in this noble cause by making a contribution today. No amount is too small to make a difference. Together, we can help these families survive this crisis and provide hope for a better future.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
